We are a center for studying classical liberal inspiration. Since our inception in 2012, our mission is to promote and defend the culture and institutions of a free society, where the most precious is the freedom and dignity of all people.
As intellectual endeavor, we have no profits and are independent of political or business groups. We finance our actions and activities thanks to the contribution, work and support of people committed to Chile and to the ideal of a free, dignified, prosperous and peaceful country.
The FPP honors the French economist Jean Gustave Courcelle-Seneuil for his decisive contribution to the spread and development of the economy and classical liberal thought in the country. Courcelle-Seneuil was hired by the Chilean government to establish and develop the discipline of political economy at the nascent Republic of Chile. This work he did between 1855 and 1863, from his position as professor at the National Institute of the University of Chile and advisor to the Ministry of Finance.
